In rehabilitation, taking applications for anticipated release date soon.
BREED: Camargue / Arab / Welsh Cross
AGE: mid to upper teens
SEX: Stud: To be gelded in the next coming weeks - he's made weight!
HEIGHT: 12- 13 h
MORE INFO: Jo Jo is our smallest member of the Christmas 4, four ponies who unexpectedly came to us in need a few days before Christmas of 2011. Him and the rest of his herd were neglected for many years of hoof care, proper nutrition, and veterinary care. Luckily, they all have a strong influence of hardy french originating Camargue horse (http://www.midi-france.info/07020202_camarguehorses.htm). Their breed has been their saving grace as far as being rehab -able. Jo Jo is timid but is coming around more and more each day. He loves hanging out with the goat and the gelding herd at Nobodaddy and eating apples from the lesson kids. Kristy reports that the equine dentist has made his initial visit and everything went well. Jo-Jo will need another visit in a month to finish up some remaining work in his mouth. He is gaining weight well on hay pellets and senior feed now that he has had his dental issues addressed.
Adoption Fee: $350 with contract
